Angry Fire Omg I Can't Believe I Did This!!! Help!!!

OMG!!! I can't believe I did this!!! Help!!

I decided to change my admin logon acct password when someone I don't trust (who has a photographic memory!) was, without my knowledge, standing behind me when I logged on. When I logged back on to see if it worked... NOT!!! I thought maybe the CAPS lock was on...but I've tried EVERY POSSIBLE combination of the password I changed it to, to no avail !

I tried using the password reset disk, but when I follow the procedure to launch the reset disk wizard, (clicking on the hint question mark, then the arrow), it doesn't give me that option! It does, however, give me that option on the NON admin acct... I'm afraid to use the admin reset disk on the non-admin acct... won't that change it to the password I can't remember/won't work? (I know what I typed in!)

Oh Lordy! Someone PLEASE help! I'm running XP Home SP1... Unfortunately with only ONE admin acct...which will change...as soon as I figure this out...!!

Thanks in Advance!

(And what the HECK am I doing wrong to keep these font thingies on here? This is the second post tonight that it's done that!) Lemme guess....Arial by default??

I think that you are confusing VB code with HTML. About the only thing that you can do with the font is change the color and size using VB code. With HTML you can change most any values like so:
<font size="4" color="#FF0000" face="arial">Font</font>
which gives you this:
Font

Hello SurferSarah,

I am sorry you are having trouble with your PC. I know what the feeling is like.

Check this website. Maybe you will find your answer there.

You may need to use a Password Cracker to recover the password.

Good luck!

The solution to my problem was starting in safe mode...where there is another administrative acct...I surmise for just such instances...

Wish I'd known... I'd have done that first instead of DLing all those crackers that I couldn't install ! LOL Don't know if that solution is with WinXP Home...or if it's a Sony thing... I got the suggestion from them.

Thanks again everyone who responded with possibilities!

Sarah
