W98 Startup Cleanup
Hello all, I would like to clean out some old & duplicate entries in the startup tab of MS Config in W98. Can anyone tell me how?

Do you mean they are already unchecked (not starting along with Windows) but you want them to disappear from the list too?

msconfig lists where the programs are being called from (if you check under 'Software Environment"/ "Startup"). You can either edit the Registry entries manually, or try one of the utilities that Roger posted a few links above.
[ & It's normal for there to be two Power Profiles.] . . . Gary [p.s. ...most of them are probably starting from the HKEY Local Machine/Software/Microsoft/Windows/CurrentVersion/Run or from Win.ini . . . some of them can be gotten rid of through an "Options" or "Preferences" menu in the program they originate from] Last edited by GaryRouth; 01-29-2003 at 03:04 AM. |

I always uncheck both power profiles. They annoy me.
