blank screen
I was running Windows 2000 on my laptop and i tried to install XP. i put the cd rom in and i had the option to install from scratch, but i chose the other one. So then the blue meter came up on the bottom of my screen, but then nothing else does. Its jsut a black screen. I let it sit there for about an hour but nothing happens. is my system dead?

Your system isn't dead but I'm not sure what you did.
You checked to make sure your laptop would allow the upgrade to XP? Xp has a check for system compatibility that you ran? You were using the upgrade version and not the full install version? Give us a little more info. |

It really hard to keep track if you start new threads.
Did you follow ktkendall's suggestion? |
