Unhappy Press a key to Reboot

Yesterday I went to defrag, like I do on a normal basis. When
defrag finished I rebooted. Now when the computer boots,
it goes through the first 2 screens that come up real quick, then
comes up with a message that says press a key to reboot. It
does not give me enough time to hit f8. The only thing I can get into is hit delete to get into setup, which does not help. I am
running XP with 2 hdd's. Primary is 80gig Maxtor and slave a
40gig Maxtor that is mirrored and has no os on it. Asus A7A mb,
with 1.33mhz amd cpu. Any help on this would sure be appreciated.
