Can you explain this??

All my folders open fast except my Control panel folder witch takes like almost 10 seconds to open.You know why?

I have windows XP Pro.

Basically the COntrol Panel is a bunch of shortcuts to to Windows Applets. For some reason your computer sounds like it is checking or refreshing them. Depending on the items you have added it can take a second or two to open, ten seconds is very long. Some programs will try to add features to the Control Panel. Real Player, Quick Time and some video drivers are bad offenders.

This worked for me when I ran into problems with the control panel opening, do a search on your pc for *.cpl files double click each one of them as they're listed whichever one doesn't open right away or hangs pc, delete it and reboot pc. Hope it helps.
