In order to install a new VC, how do I uninstall the previous video drivers?
Do I wipe them out via the Device Manager?

Hi Nuke
Usually just switch to the Standard VGA driver first ("Update Driver" . . . "Show all hardware" - from the Device Manager properties for display adapter) then remove the older drivers from the Add/Remove Control Panel applet - remove any "multimedia center" apps that came with the previous card, too = esp. ATi - then back to Device Manager again to select and remove the older driver (if you can't see it, check in Safe Mode to make sure it's gone). Then install the new card. . . . Gary |
