I have a dual boot machine with 98 and 2K. All my drivers and bios are up to date. I have 2 hdd's. one is
ATA66 and the other is ATA133. the fast drive's udma is fine, but the slower drive's udma has switched to PIO 4. It was fine (udma mode 4). now it's changed all the sudden. How or where can you manually set a drive's transfer rate?!?!?!?! Both drives are full speed in win 98. help???!!!! |

Hi,
What devices do you have on your primary and secondary IDE channels? Go into Device Manager and then to your IDE controllers. Look at at the Primary/Secondary IDE controllers. If I remember right, I think you can set it in there. Let me know what you can come up with and HTH. |
