Add/Remove Programs

I installed a game and didn't uninstall it properly. The game is no longer on the harddrive (the folder created during the installation that is) but it still remains in the Add/Remove Programs list and therefore when I put the game in to reinstall, it asks if I want to completely remove all components. Hitting yes doesn othing because there is no uninstall.exe for it to utilize. Cancel is the only other option. What do I delete in the registry to erase it from this A/R Programs list?

Did you try uninstalling it through the A/R list itself? Even though there isn't a uninstall.exe file to use, XP should recognize this and remove it from the list.

I'm on Win2k and uninstalling it through the list says "All tasks have been completed" but it stays there.

Do a search for RegCleaner on www.download.com that will get rid of any remnants of the game.
