is winpopup accessable in XP?

No, I believe it is a 9X only thing. XP does have Messenger and it should have Net Send.I have never used any of their stuff but once in awhile I see these programs on other people's computers. One of them is free and I never looked far enough to see how much the other's cost.

hmm, aight, well thanks Tuf...i can't stand Messenger and i've eradicated it from all my machines and i'll be darned if i'm gonna install it just to have internetwork communication...lol, i'll find something, c'ya around...

Go to start.. run. Type in cmd. In cmd type in "net send x.x.x.x message goes here"

where x.x.x.x is ip address or name of target computer. The message can include spaces and doesn't need quotes around it. Any win 2k/xp machine will be able to recieve these messages unless it has been disabled.

Windows Messenger and MSN Messenger are two completely different things.

i know...i thought you said XP could only use Messenger to do that kinda thing so i was saying i don't have it...anyways though, i'll try that out RenegadeKing, thanks...
