Outlook express comes up with a double entries

Can anyone explain to me why when I boot Outlook up for the first time, I always get a double entry for every new emial? However if I leave it going, when it updates they just come in as a single entry. I'm sure this is just something I messed up when I initaily set things up, but I'm getting tired of having to delete 20 - 50 emails every time I log on.

Thanks

Hi jnc007,

That's a good one! It'd drive me nuts!! Do you have it checked to remove emails from the server after you get them??

Take a look at MS KB Article 245620 which essentially supports what TwoRails posted...with a Workaround since there is apparently no actual fix.

this is close to being helpful. Problem is I have Outlook express 6.0 so steps 2 - 4 don't apple to my set up. I've looked on microsoft's site and I can't find anything additional to this
