X P Restarting

When i close down my computer it just restarts my os is XP home
SP1 Installed

Any help would be nice

When you get into the endless boot loop, do you get a BSOD? If so, it should tell you the file that's causing trouble so you can at least have a place to start troubleshooting.

In MS KB Article 318018, MS blames it all on PCAnywhere. If you don't have PCAnywhere, that's not going to be the cause.

When it happened on my computer (not an upgrade, manufacturer preinstalled XP Home), it was the all-too-common cause....nv4_disp.dll, an nVidia video driver problem. I resolved it by by booting into Safe Mode, trying different resolution settings until I found one that would allow XP to boot into normal mode (which was 1024X768 for me) and then started downloading and trying different versions of nVidia drivers. Right now I'm using version 4109 and it seems stable...so far.

Thanks for your reply I traced it to my mouse drivers (Logitech) removed them and every thing is now fine mouse as well
