Boom Problem with Virtual Machine

Every time I go to a page with any Java, the following message appears:

To display this page correctly, you need to download and install the following components: Java Virtual Machine

I choose, "Download", and I am taken to the Microsoft web page with this message : "We're sorry. The page you are viewing requires that you have a more recent version of the Microsoft Virtual Machine on your system. To obtain an updated version of the Microsoft Virtual Machine, please go to Windows Update."

I use Windows Update, and I run the scan, and no Virtual Machine update appears. What is the problem here? It's probably some ridiculous thing that's going to leave me smacking my head.

This is due to the legal stuff between MS and Sun. Use the following link to download from elsewhere.
