Do people actually do this? Please bug test our software for free. If you found a hole wouldn't you keep it to yourself so you could exploit it when it's in public domain? Jim |

Are you asking if people test beta software?
Quite a few people do, it's not always for free. Depending on the situation you might get paid, free software, or drastically reduced license fees. Some just like to mess around with it before it is actually released. I think it turns out to be a pretty good deal for everyone involved. It's not for everyone though. |

The question was really: Do people beta test MICROSOFT software?!
![]() I used to do a little bit of testing for different stuff but I can't be bothered any more, depending on the company, the suggestions you put forward either always or never get implemented. |
