help with winamp

i am trying to use a computer dedicated jup to play music (like a multy cd player) my question is: can i use winamp and load on it more then 1000 mp3 songs ? and, can it play random all ths songs? i have an old pentiun computer that i want to do something with it. or is there any other program that can do this? i am tryin to use a 20 gig hdd. again thanks for all help.

If I am understanding your post right, it should be able to. I haven't tried it with 1000 songs, but with 348 Winamp can do it. I am not sure if there is a limit to the amount of songs Winamp can handle. Maybe someone out there has actually loaded more songs and knows for sure.

My playlist has over 1500 songs in winamp. Plays random just fine.

I don't see any reason why it wouldn't work, but me personally I use MusicMatch and it does that and much more.

Oh, and btw, where do you get so many songs? I have only over 400.

thanks for the help, now i have a good idea, i have a 100 cd player that it is full and i will change them all to mp3 and play them from the computer. again thanks for all the help.
