Vfloppy Error in Partition Magic 6

When trying to resize partitions in PM6 running WinME, after PM boots to DOS to resize the partition, there is an error 8 “Fake Floppy driver not found VFLOPPY.SYS"

I was wondering if anyone had experienced this problem & if so, how they fixed it. The PowerQuest website suggests uninstalling/reinstalling PM & then sending a report to them but my experience of their ongoing support is not good.

Have tried disabling System Restore & Norton A/Virus but still manage to get this error at startup, even with PM uninstalled.

I really don't have a clue what is causing this. I would recommend running regcleaner, get it here: http://www.vtoy.fi/jv16/shtml/regcleaner.shtml
post back if this helps or not...

Send a message via AIM to NationalServer
that PM can do some nasty things if you don't pay real close attention to what you are doing...resizing partitions ...watch your boundaries...in the wrong place...zap! I know had to reformat once....was having fun and did not closely follow my actions...good prog though..

Just had some feedback from the customer - the regcleaner didn't make any difference to the vfloppy error but he's happy running this utility on a regular basis!
Oh well, didn't solve the problem but at least he's found happiness elsewhere!
