Try to remove the pci cards just leaving in the video card and try to boot, Ithink you may have a hardware conflict. alos make sure the cpu fan is working.

Freezes? On the splash screen?
If you don't know for sure it's actually frozen, it could be doing something, I would advise leaving it for at least 5 minutes Jim |

there is a moving blue varigated "stripe" on the bottom of the splash screen. If the stripe keeps moving, windows is continuing to load.
If it freezes for more than 5 minutes, something is up. This happened to me after a new build once, but only because I had 768mb of ram and didn't realise win98 wouldn't accept it wwithout some tweaking... |

But even if the blue stripe stops for a little while it still could be loading
That's why we suggest about 5 minutes Try pulling out your network card if you have one, this can be a cause for windows failing to load quickly after first boot (it uses Windows' drivers and tries for about 5 mins to look for a DHCP server even if you don't have one) If that doesn't work, as somebody already said, pull out all cards other than Graphics (if that doesn't work, pull them all out other than video then re-install windows) Then you can put the cards back in one by one until it's all working Jim |
