Freecell, etc. missing

I installed Win98 on my new HD. It went smoothly, except that the Games portion under Programs/Accessories is missing. No Freecell, Hearts, or Minesweeper. I don't remember it ever aksing if I wnt it installed; I assumed that it did it automatically. What do I need to do to get it back?

Could be they are not installed.

Go to Control Panel, Add/Remove Programs, and under the Win install tab you should see a list of what's installed and what's not. Mark the Games' checkbox and have your Windows CD ready. Proceed to install.

If I remember correctly, by default, 98 leaves them out... go to add/remove programs and put them in.

That's why I always select Custom installation when installing. Windows leaves lots of useful things out by default.

And it loads lots of trash also by default.

Tell me, do you really need "Online Services"?

NK-
the only ones needing online sevices are Microsoft themselves...
think of the money they must get from those "online services" just to put that bloat on the disc.....
