no boot of anykinD after crashed format
while i was formating my c:\ with partition magic, my computer crashed. the C:\ contained my OS,win XP, so when i tried to reboot it obviously didnt work. So i tried to re-install. for some reason my computer wont boot up from cd. it just brings up the "Searching for Boot Record from CD..." thing then it says no boot record from CD. ive tried several different CD's with different operating systems on them,all to no effect. im sure my cd-roms are working. could this be a boot virus or something?

Doubtful, sounds like either your CD-Rom has gone south, or needs a cleaning.
