Question Save picture as

Can anyone tell me if I can change the default image display when double clicking on a picture file on a disc?
i.e. my image is always a quicktime file and opens up in quicktime.

Some images appear very poor quality but when opening the pics through a photo editor they seem fine.

Ya... highlight your file, hold the shift key and right click on the file to select "open with", select the program you want to open with, and if desired, check off the box that will make it so it will always use that program to open the file with. This will change the association to use the program of your choice.

Len-
to change file associations go to view>folder options>file types.
find the file type you want to change and click it.
next click edit. highlight the file type in the box for "description of type" and click edit.
where it says "application used to perform action" type the path to the program you want to change it to...

You should be able to do the same as I mentioned above, making sure to select always use this application. Now you will have to do that for every file type, mpg, avi, etc.

Hi Hal,
ya know, I've tried your method and it doesn't always work...so I have reverted to the method I mentioned above. Do you have any idea why your method doesn't always "hold" the setting for me??
