xp home/xp pro

I'm trying to transfer files from xp home to xp pro using a parallel cable and the transfer wizard. Do I have to use a serial cable. Should I disconnect from my hub, these 2 and 1 other are connected?

If you have a hub, then why not network the 2 via it?. Much faster that way.

To transfer files via parallel you would need a "laplink" cable. But it sounds like you already have the basics you need. Just network the two machines. The link that oem_guy posted is very good.
