Boom I Really Need Some Help Here!!

I posted a thread a few days ago about losing video and also the sound locking up when going to full screen mode in Windows Media Player. No replys so far???

This problem is only when using "visualizations requiring Direct X 3D. I've tried lowering the "Hardware Acceleration" and once I disable it totally, other visualizations that don't require it will play in Full Screen, and I don't lose video......

I have the lastest drives for video, and sound cards, and just installed Direct X 9.0. Latest BIOS for my A7V MB. Still having the problem.......

I just looked at the ERROR LOG in my advanced systems information. This is Windows XP Pro I'm using.

The Error log has this many times:

" The following boot-start or system-start driver(s) failed to load: CTSYN "

Does this have anything to do with the problem?

I don't find any problem in the dxdiag and all test run satisfactory.

Please Help

CTSYN is part of the Creative Soundblaster driver package if I'm not mistaken. If you are in fact using a soundblaster sound card try updating your sound card's drivers or simply removing them and then reinstalling them.

A quick search on the error found this suggestion on creative's site:

If you are not using the DOS emulation tool, go to the device manager and select to show hidden devices. If you have a hidden device called creative synth* disable it and reboot.

Hmmmmm, I am having a suspicion this problem may be related to my sound card drivers. As a matter of fact, a game I've been trying to play started working better when I shut off the game music.
Thanks for the information.

Forget what I said about going to "Full Screen" mode. It is happening even if I don't go to full screen, it just takes longer......

I disabled the creative synth* thing.......still having the problem.
