Just wondering...
Why is it that you need to enable Active directory to have a jpeg picture displayed as your wallpaper? I noticed by tinkering around that if I save the wallpaper as a bitmap that I don't need AD, although the file is significantly larger. Is there anything I should be concerned about by enabling AD, say security wise? |

I think you are referring to Active Desktop and no, there is nothing to worry about. By using AD you can use .jpg files for wallpaper instead of having to convert them to bitmap.
Active Directory is a whole different ballgame and has nothing to do with displaying .jpg files. Last edited by KHT; 02-19-2003 at 06:39 AM. |
