Exclamation XPsys32 copy to W2k sys 32

Awhile back dumped out XPpro (which was upgrade from XP home..duh! what for!?) and then called mfg for recover disks. In meantime loaded W2K on another drive switched to primary. Anyway recovery disks (8 of them!) would not recognize the macine. I peeked in and found that the code was looking for bios. So either they sent wrong disks or whatever but not where I am headed. I copied all of sys32 files (from XP disks) to newfolder and was thinking about copying them to sys32 folder of W2k presently running. Am I a troublemaker or what? Will I be reported to the cruelty to boxes society (CBS)?
Some input?
