Hy Guys Got a quick question for you.
I just moved my computer from one house to another and in setting it up I changed O/S from XP Home to XT Pro. It recognised my HP 882 Printer and loaded the Drivers That were in the XP Pro Data base for the printer. My problem is every time I reboot or turn my rig off or on it recog. the printer and loads the drivers fore me how can I stop this. I'm pretty sure I remember my HP doing the same thing, the way I solved it was to actually run the setup program on the HP disk that came with the printer, but untill I did that, I had same situation you currently describe...

I have the same printer running xp pro. I would remove the printer and printer driver / software completely; then after a reboot, shutdown and reconnect the printer. Let xp do the install.
Hope that helps. |

I found that the problem was because of just letting XP do it's own and I think he is experiencing the same... It may work though just to uninstall and reinstall, because the xp home to pro thing may be what is different, ans what is causing the glitch...
