I want to uninstall Win95 so I can install Red Hat Linux from bootable CDs. The problem I have is that I don't know how to wipe the OS from the Hard Drive. Any help is appreciated.

Exit to DOS, or just boot up to command prompt from the safe menu, or use win boot floppy and type the command
format C: /u This will for all intents and purposes clean off that drive...

Is that all I have to do? Thanks for that. All I can say is expect questions on Linux next!

Yes, you may have to delete DOS partition too though so that Linux can create it's own type of volume or partition.. I don't know enough about Linux but I'm sure it will need to create something different on that HD as far as partitions go so it can format the disk for a Linux install.. If you get to the point of booting up for the Linux install and it can't do what it needs to do cause of the DOS partition that win95 had then boot again from the windows boot disk and at the A:\> prompt, type FDISK and you want to delete primary DOS partition and leave the disk that way so Linux can create it's own...
