Not sure if this is correct forum and I apologize for sketchy info!
I have a system that I buikt up a while ago. AOpen DX34 Plus Mobo with ATI All-in-Wonder video/TV Tuner Card, WinXP Pro. System works fine, but all of a sudden the video displace is compressed to a band across the center of the monitor! The POST and WinXP splash are full screen, but when WinXP opens to log in, the screen compresses! My memeory is that I had this problem when I first built it up and there was a VGA setting I needed to set in the POST, but I didn't see anything along those lines when I checked 'set up' and it's a mystery as to way it's suddenly reverted! Any thoughts? THANKS!! |

I almost hate to ask, but you are quite sure that you have drivers installed that were written for XP and are current? XP is great about supplying good drivers for monitor and vid cards, but occasionally I find manufacturer drivers help with system performance.

Actually, recent MS update installed new drivers, that didn't immediately proceed this problem.
But I suppose I could unload and reload drivers. ATI website instructs me to use the drivers provided by the OS! Thanks! |

Here's the report on the ATI website. If anyone has a link for ATI drivers for All-In-Wonder with WinXP Pro, let me know!
Windows XP Display Drivers Recommended Driver - 5.1.2505.0 (details) Microsoft-Supplied Included on the Windows XP Installation CD Windows XP Tuner/Capture Software Current (Windows 9x) ATI Video Player Tuner/Capture software for the original ALL-IN-WONDER (RAGE II+) does not install or function properly in a Windows XP environment. At this time, ATI has no plans to offer Windows XP Tuner/Capture support for the original ALL-IN-WONDER (RAGE II+). |

THANKS!
Thanks to all of you who posted suggestions, and I must apologize for not researching things as well as I could or should!
Turns out I am running the All in Wonder Radeon, which does have drivers on the ATI website. I am using an old Gateway Destination monitor which works best at 640 x 480. XP tried to set display at 800 x 600 which is what messed it up. I removed and reinstalled most current drivers and all is well except the log in page doesn't display all users without having to scroll! This was not a problem previous to the newest drivers, and I guess I could reinstall old drivers and be totally happy again! Thanks!! Larry
