IDE drivers

I installed the VIA 4 in 1 drivers for my VIA chipset, and I am wondering if this is a good idea to install : http://www.extremecomputer.net/download.htm The IDE driver.

I am not experiencing any problems. But I am wondering if it would give me better performance than the IDE driver that the VIA 4 in 1 drivers gave?

[Does the Windows Busmastering perform better than the VIA busmastering?]

[Read on the viaarena.com FAQ section, and they were talking about how Windows 2000 does not properly utilize ATA 100 until you get Service 2 pack for the fix? Is this true? I got a VIA chipset motherboard. Should I get Service pack 2?]

Thanks guys!
