Hi all, when i first installed wmp9 i had no problems, everything was ship shape and hunky dory. however, as of late, it causes a "fatal system error" when i try to stream internet broadcasts with it. That causes the bsod and i have to reboot. i don't know what the problem could be. in addition my xp has been alot more buggy as well. my comp seems to check my floppy drive every 15 minutes or so, which i don't recall happening before, and varying programs seem to be less functional and cause more, "error, program must shutdown" dialogues.
norton hasn't found any viruses, but to add to the dilemma, my firewall, zone alarm has been shutting down too, due to a problem with the "true vector program" which i assume is just the scanning utility. i don't know what else to offer specifically, other than my sys is compaq presario 512 sdram, intel pentium 4 with 80 gigs of storage. |

True vector program sound like some sort of grachics driver to me. Have you also installed any graphics programs or possibly a drawing or CAD program. Even a viewer might contain some vector graphics applications.

The "true vector program" is part of ZA.
I don't use ZA so you may want to dig through their forums to find an answer why it may be crashing. Also instead of using just Norton AV I suggest you try The Cleaner and Housecall. http://forums.zonelabs.com/zonelabs/...?q=true+vector |
