The computers (2 of them) at my office are infected with 2 viruses each. w95.Dupator.1503 and w95.spaces.1445. I installed norton 2003, but every single time a program started, i'd get a ton of messages for norton about this file being infected, that file, etc etc. It was extremely difficult to move around windows so I finally uninstalled it. I went to norton's website for removal instructions.
They say to run a DOS version of the program, Navdx (not rescue disk) and scan. I ran it on one computer, it found the virus and repaired it on all the files that it could. Norton also said that after navdx ran a repair scan, to run a deletion scan, where it would delete any files that it couldn't repair. The problem is that during the repair scan, it found many windows files that couldn't be repaired (such as winipcfg). I don't want the delete scan to remove these files.
This process is just for one of the viruses, for the other virus norton says to create a rescue disk set from an uninfected computer, then run the DOS virus scan on the rescue disk. I haven't done that yet - once I get home from class today I'll make the disk set then bring it over to work.
Basically, i'm asking is, is there an easier way to remove these viruses without reformating? I just spend a good 5 hours reformating both computers, and reloading windows, programs, the network, etc etc. This was 3 days ago, and already it's screwed up

Although it's good money for me, I don't want to spend another day working on it.
