Question sharing outlook over network

Hello there,

I need a way of sharing a calendar and task list between a few people over a peer to peer network. We all use Outlook 2002 (with windows xp) – is there a way of having a shared calendar that we can all add appointments to as well as a shared task list which we can add to and amend.

What is the situation with two people working on the same task list or calendar slot at once – does this cause any issues.

Also, if there are other alternatives to outlook that anyone can recommend I would welcome these to.

Cheers,

Matt.

Did a quick look but couldn't find it. Without running M$ Exchange you can set up "net folders" to share..

Thanks for the feedback,

How did you set up net folders in previous versions?

What are my others options - exchange is much too large scale for my needs.

OL2000: How to Use Net Folders
http://support.microsoft.com/default...b;en-us;195867

NOTE: Outlook 2000 or Microsoft Outlook 98 must be used by all parties and all messages must be sent with Rich Text Format (RTF) enabled. Net Folders is designed for use in a small office environment within a Local Area Network (LAN). It is best suited for the sharing of Contacts, Tasks, and simple e-mail discussions. Net Folders work with Outlook installed in either the Internet Mail Only (IMO) or the Corporate or Workgroup (CW) Setup options.
