restart in ms-dos
i am running windows me, i would like to restart into ms-dos mode but that is not an option when i go to start then shut down. when i restart, i hold ctrl and/or f8 until options come up and it doesn't have the command prompt option, only normal, logged, safe, and step by step. i would like to get to command prompt so i can delete infected files.
i've searched for the command line to add restart in ms-dos mode to the list (in shutdown window), but failed to find it. so if you could help me out with this minute problem. thank you. |

They pretty much did away with that with WinME.. The closest you get is msdos command prompt that is still available from within WinME..
You still can create a win boot disk though and boot with it to accomplish your desired task!
