opening attachments in OE 98se

Howdy!
My cuz sends me attachments that my PC says can't find suitable graphics (something) to open it. I can't seem to find the
format its sent in. I have Adobe PS Elements 2 and thought it had all the necessary formats (if thats the right term.) Is it something
I need to set up, or what is the procedure to be able to open all
graphics in e-mail?
If ya need more info, just let me know.
THANKSSSSSSSSS.

You sure those attachments aren't trojans or viruses?

What is the file extension on the attachments?

IrfanView is a very good free image viewer.

Norton scans my e-mail and seems to do a good job, so I don't
think they're infected. I've clicked properties and can't get a file
ext. Just says "can't find a suitable graphics importer" when it
trys to open. How does OE decide which application to use to open attachments that contain graphics?
Thanks for Irfanview. Should I delete Quicktime? I really don't
know how I got it anyway unless it came in when I upgraded
from IE 5 to 6.

Send a message via Yahoo to pillainp
See if you have check mark on the box "Do not allow attachments to be saved......." on the security page of OE's options dialog.
