How do I change the default view in explorer? Links for reading and research would be fine. Thx.

Click on the Icon on the Toolbar that is next to the one that says folders. Select the view you want. Then go to folder options Tools>Folder Options>View. Select apply to all folders.

Again I leave out essential information I must have been in a rush. boo me.
I got that covered in explorer, It's when I open up with a program. I like to see it with details as well when opening a file within a program. But it's only in explorer view which has the detail view. When I use a program it only shows the file titles. And I can't change this in explorer. |

There is a view selector button is present on my systems even when I open something from Office Apps.
I don't know what programs you want to change the behavior of. You should post what they are. Until then try hitting the Winkey+E and navigating to the file you want to open. |
