quick guide to preformance for win xp?

Ok, I am working on setting up my win XP box.

800 T-bird, 384 Meg of ram.

30GB 7200 IBM Hard drive
8 GB 5400 Max drive(back ups)

10/100 Netgear NIC
512 Sound Card Sound Blaster.

Anyways, I am looking for a guide to optional preformance for win XP. I want to trim the fat, streamline it. I figure someone has a nice Tips and Tricks guide for this.

Like what all services and I kill? is QoS Packet Sheduler Needed? Anything else?
