How can I get rid of it without saying "Yes" to make a user?
The way this happened was I added a user in the control panel, then removed it (I was helping out a friend with making a new user while giving directions over the phone). Every time since then, I Get: Quote:
I'm using Windows networking to log on, but do not want to make a user. I want everything to be accessible no matter how I log in. (All users accessibility) I'm running win98SE.

Hi force_flow2002
Why not just use Windows Logon?? I don't get anything poping up with it. TwoRails |

I was going to have my comps networked.
[edit]: I didn't used to get that message. As soon as I created and removed a new user, I got the message. |

This may sound stupid, but did you try logging on as the user name that you created then deleted to see if it would stop telling you that?

It does, but it goes ahead and sets up a user profile. I don't want that.

I think tworails is on to something...
why not try windows logon for a few boots and then switch back to your current logon setting? maybe just toggling between the two will get you back on track.... |

Take a look in Control Panel | Passwords | User Profiles. There is a setting along the lines of "All users use the same desktop settings and preferences". Select this - See if it helps.
