If you have logitech this could help. For the rest, I need your specs and I need to know if this is a new install or a previously working install that just started acting up. Did anything in the WindowsXP link from aumha apply to your comp? |

I can post it again :http://support.microsoft.com/default...b;en-us;810980
It still works for me so I'm not sure what the problem is there. You need to uninstall logitech's mouseware and down load the latest update from their site. In fact logitech drivers earlier than the end of Dec 02 seem to be trouble with XP whether it's mouse or keyboard. If you have 9.10 or 9.24 that could be the problem. If you didn't use logitech drivers you might try system restore. Even if you haven't set a restore point it does so automatically so you can always use one just before the trouble started. Back up the important stuff first. I don't see anything in your specs that should be causing you trouble. ECS boards would be giving you fits on boot-up, not shut down, if they're dieing. You haven't installed any programs or hardware, or downloaded anything from the web just before all this started have you? |

Glad to hear it , but do you have any idea what started the shutdown problems ?
Anything that adds to the knowledge base is a help. |
