Shut Down Error Message

I was on AIM, and I was running Sonique and I exited it out. I went to click on SHUT DOWN, and once I clicked on SHUT DOWN, I got a blue screen saying " IRQ Not Less or Equal" and I had to reboot the PC..

I booted into Windows 2K just fine right after that, and I am able to browse through my files and listen to music.

Thing is. This errror popped up when I had Windows XP aswell. So I down graded to 2K, and I havent seen the error since now.

MSI KT333, AMD Athlon XP 1800+, Geforce 4MX420, Sound Blaster LIVE!, Windows 2000 Service Pack 3.

No hardware changes. No Viruses. No Trojans. No Spyware.

Any ideas?

Checked IRQ..IRQ 17 is being shared by NIC and Sound Card. Everything else has it's own IRQ, and APIC is enabled on my motherboard.

Thanks!

I'll download the latest drivers for my Nvidia Card and my Sound Card. Thanks!

I already have the latest drivers for my Video Card. Need to find the model number of my Sound Card, because the drivers that I downloaded wouldn't install because it were the wrong drivers for the model that I have. Device Manager says I got Sound Blaster Live! Series, so I downloaded those drivers, and setup said cannot install drivers because it cannot find any drivers on the system for Sound Blaster Live! Series.

Although it could of been just a program error that caused it. Because once I booted up fine, I decided to shut down the machine and see what happens..and it shut down fine.

I think it's because of my chipset(VIA KT333)
