changing start button text
I'm interested in changeing my start-button text to something along the lines of "AMD" or "Athlon".
The first problem that I can see, is that it would be nice to change the text to Athlon but that is more than 5 letters, I don't know if I change the text to more than 5 letters in Win2K? I copied explorer, then edited the "start" before the error message, is this the right "start" to edit? I copied explorer1.exe into c:\WINNT, with the original explorer.exe, how should I get windows to start using explorer1.exe? I think I need to rename the file before windows starts using explorer.exe, or is there another way? If I have to rename the file before it is used, how should I do this? I think I need to do this in DOS, but Win2K doesn't have an option to re-boot in DOS(or even an MS-DOS prompt, instead a "command prompt"). Can I simply download a DOS bootdisk? If I have to rename in DOS and do sucessfully get into DOS, do I need to delete explorer.exe then rename explorer1.exe or will explorer.exe automatically be deleted/replaced? Thanks, Logan
