Removing VIA4in1 Drivers

I Will be purchasing a better motherboard soon. I currently have an MSI motherboard with the VIA4in1 drivers installed. I Want to know how to remove the VIA drivers?

I don't see anything in Add/Remove Programs under VIA4in1drivers, but I know they are installed. I have a few things of VIA in device manager showing.

Thanks!

[LOL Sorry for the screwed up title. I am tired. Should be "Removing VIA4in1 drivers"]

Hi Markoman01027,

Try running the 4in1 setup program you used to install the drivers. That should give you the option to remove them.

I don't tend to update the 4in1s until I change the mobo; so I have no idea what options are present with the latest sets.

HTH

can you just change a motherboard without reinstalling the operating system?

Thanks Mike Breck.

Fraughton- You can change the motherboard without reinstalling the OS, but you need to uninstall your current motherboard drivers and then after the switch, you need to install the current motherboard drivers.

good to know. I tend to format every couple of months anyway because I'd rather do that than figure out why my computer is beginning to run slow in the first place.

Yeah that will happen. There could be a reason to your slowdown after a few months. You shouldn't need to format every couple of months. Post about this on the forums. But like people say, the longer you keep Windows on your hard drive, the slower you will get.

yeah, one thing I did last time is partition my drive so now the windows partition doesnt get filled up so fast. I dont know why but it seems that windows requires a few gigs of space to work properly. I've noticed the slowdown even with 10gigs of my 40gb drive free.
