OEM simply means you didn't get the fancy box and manual, SP1 is an update. I see no reason you cant install SP1.

Are there any other preparations that i
shoud make before installing SP1? Like backing up my system first and the liike. I read in some forums people having crash problems after instlallling. I dont want that to happen to me. Why does that happen ? |

You could make a disk image if you want to. Then if something goes wrong (which I kind of doubt will happen), you can restore that image to the HDD.

I wouldn't worry about backing up files or haveing problems. If you do have problems, you can easily un-install SP1.
If you really want to make a back-up, I believe most CD bruning apps have this fature built in. I currently have Nero, and I can tell you that you have to go to file>then select Burn HD backup. Logan |

Never really researched that, but when you think about it, all you really need are your files, the files you cant just install. You could individually put all those files onto a CD(s).
