Question IE 6.0 hangs while surfing

Recently while surfing the net my IE will hang for short periods of time a minute or two before finally loading a page.At the same time I can use my Netscape and has little or no hang ups. I clear my temp folder almost daily and seems to have little or no affect. Not a serious problem ,but can be a nuisance.

Win98se
Internet Explorer 6
Internet connection : Verizon DSL

I never did have any luck with IE 6 on my Win98se machine, just would not run smooth. It does a great job with XP tho. IE 5.5 sp2 has done the best with Win98 amongst my clients.

Is there a way to revert back to IE 5.5 without losing my favorite's ? I seem to remember 5.5 being a lot more stable and less problem's.

plumerjr,

If you had IE 5.5 before you loaded IE 6.0, you can remove IE 6 in Add/Remove programs and it will revert back to 5.5 and your Favorites will be saved.
