I recently built a new system including windows xp pro and a sony CDRW drive. When i install the UDF program that comes with the drive, windows starts just long enough to see the UDF startup banner, then crashes to a blue screen covered with text, but then restarts before i can really give it a read. Something about the program being incompatible. So i installed another UDF program after getting rid of the other, same thing happened. What's going on? How can I write to a CDRW in winxp?
The first program was B's CLiP. The second was NERO. The CDRW is slaved to the hd. I don't know if that matters. |

Nevermind.
I found out what was wrong. XP has its own cdrw format. I guess i'll have back up and reformat my CDRWs. XP is new to me. Sorry about the pointless post. |
