Usually when I start using a new OS, I go look for one of the "For Dummies" books. Not saying you're a dummy, but they break it down so you get the basics better than other books. I'm sure by now they probably have a "Windows XP for Dummies" in the stores (I haven't checked cuz I'm still using 95 too ).

Did you take the Windows XP tour? That might help you get started as well. XP, though seems to have a lot of stuff, is quite helpful; most of whatever you did with 95 will work, but there is usually a simpler or a more logical way to do it - and to make matters really good, XP will probably try to prompt the shorter way out as well.

When I first got XP it was like jumping from a Chevvy to a Jaguar, but after a week of ordinary use and then some experimenting in spare time, I now forgot what the old operating system was like. Have fun and just jump right in and play.

Yup. They're out. Haven't had the urge to pick one up and flip though it yet.

easy thing to do is go to a bookstore website, like www.bn.com, and type in "windows xp"... i think a good book to start with would be the "windows xp visually"... those have text and pictures... which is easier to learn from, i think....

good luck!
