Some Internet Service Providers in the U.K. use B.T. Click as part of their service. Below are a few links for BT Click. The 1st is an example from a provider (WHSmith.net) who uses BT Click as part of their software package, and it provides their instructions to uninstall their version of it. Other providers may have similiar procedures: you can check with yours. The second link gives a little more background information about BT Click.

And, while many startup lists are based here in the states (and don't happen to mention some of the u.k. specific startup programs), they are quite good resources anyway, and can identify a great many of the programs loading at startup (and usually running during your computing session). Of the two links below, the first tells the whole story - you'll want to have some time set aside for that learning adventure (at least a half-hour). Lots of excellent information. The second link goes straight to the latest version of the programs list (you can also reach that link from a link ["Programs"] on that first informative link.

And if you are in a bit of a hurry & just want it not to load no matter what: from your Start/Run box, type msconfig, go to the Startup Tab, and remove the checkmark from BT Click.

Best of luck

I am not used to win ME but here is how you stop programs from starting up in win 98 i think it is the same for you

click Start >> Run type Msconfig
click Startup tab

From here, Msconfig.exe Startup Tab you can uncheck programs that load from the StartUp folder and the Registry

The items in the StartUp tab show what programs load when your O/S is loaded. Uncheck the program(s) you don't want to load. Also, take a look at the source of the file to make sure it is what you want to disable (scroll right).

Btw, could you please not post all in caps, Webbie48? Thanks.
