Change Desktop Location

Is it possible to change the desktop location

i am going to reformat my PC giving win98 SE its own partition of 500 Mb, if i do this i will not be able to put large files onto my desktop unless i can redirect my desktop to the D: drive (10Gb)
can i do this, if so how

You can redirect "My Documents" to a different location. Right click > properties > type in new location (target).

Thanks i totaly forgot about that,
i have read that you can change the Desktop location in the registry but i cant find it in there

Download TweakUI from the Microsoft website or from www.freewarefiles.com amd then go to the location marked by the red arrow in the attached image. It lets you change the locations of most "Special Folders" on your PC

Yes. I believe it takes up about 200-250MB.

Thank pillainp that did exactly what i wanted.
Yes 500Mb will be enough Win98 SE takes up a max of 400 MB but typical 200MB - 300MB
