I bought a new laptop with Windows XP on it. I want to add additional OS which is WINNT. Is there anybody there who can give me the procedure to do that.

Welcome to PCMech, Celso_Sinongco!
![]() You'll need to partition your HDD into two partitions (using FDISK). The NT goes on the first one and XP on the second one.

Yes,
If you want to Dual-Boot NT and XP, then you should install the older OS (NT) first and then the newer one (XP) second. This will ensure the Dual-Boot files are placed on the C: partition. However, if you don't want to completely wipe the HD so you can install the OSs in the correct oder, then you can just install a third-party Boot Manager. That's the no-hassle wayof doing it. http://www.osloader.com/ HTH |

Start by reading ALL of this thread. If it makes sense, you can do it with NT as well. If it's over your head, then you probably shouldn't attempt it.

Just to clarify. WINNT is the %systemroot% of NT, W2000, XP.
Are you reffering to NT4 as the OS you want to install? |
