Scanner and Camera Wizard nuisance

Hi,

How can I stop the Scanner and Camera wizard from popping up automatically when I insert a CF card into the CF card reader? While I'm at it, I'd also like to know how to stop the window that pops up when I insert a CD or Zip disk----the window that asks what to do each time I insert a disk of that kind? I don't need all of this help from WinXP---how can I get it to butt out?

Thanks, Crank

Is there a "do not show again" tick box on the bottom of the window?

Do you have virus protection enabled?

I'm starting to nod off, Crank. Lol You?

I kind of doubt this will solve the problem, but try disabling NAV and insert one of your cards (or whatever else you do to get the wizard)

Also, did you check to see if it's in the device manager and if there are no conflicts?

I guess I'll just put up with the XP nonsence until I can figure out how to hack the registry and shut it off. Thanks, Crank

This problem is solved. All I had to do is configure the AutoPlays on the storage devices & drives. I didn't even know those settings were there. All cool now. Crank
