Dial up Win 2K

Hello all , can any one answer this simple question , recently my system changed on it's own (maybe) from manual dial up to auto dial up . I have looked all over but can't seem to find how to change it back . I did find the auto dial in the registry ,set for 01 00 00 00 , but no matter where I set the bit it still auto dial's ????
I prefer the manual since I have three numers I dial in two..for my ISP

Thanks all

Al

What exactly are you doing when you get that message? Opening internet explorer or selecting your connection icon?

Select your connection icon double click it and click on connect . It should then dial the connection and then open internet explorer .you can make seperate connection icons for each number you want to choose from.

I owe ,I owe so off to work I go
check back this PM

I have done that but that only forces me to select the particular phone number icon and then I have to click on Internet.
What the problem is that I'm trying to correct is that little box
when you click on the the internet E. is it has a box that is checked that says automatic connection .....I never checked the box it just was thier one day and I'm running a firewall and antivirus. I had some funcky number's appear in my connection's that I didn't put thier some how I think some one some how got past the firewall etc. and screwed up files.
