win 2K logon log
is there anny way of keeping track of who logs on when into a win2k computer, to keep a log of who uses the pc so to speak,
i have reason to believe that one of my roommates has been using my computer while i was gone. (there are some items in my history folder that where made at a time when i wa in class and of sites tha i would never visit. yes i know it's my own fault for leaving my computer on and logged into my account) I made a guest account for eatch of my rommates so that they can keep thier own favorites and can not tamper with my files, but i still don't want them toutching my system when i am out to class. so as you can immadgine i am verry pissed, the fast that ticks me off the most is that i don't know who to be pissed at, i can elimiate some people but that still leaves i put te screensaver password on and i i disabled the "guest" account, now all i need is this log and next time i can see who has "some 'splaining to do" |

To my knowledge anyway, there is not a log of who signed onto your computer in W2k. Possibly someone else here would know. There are however third party utilities that can do everything from log every key stroke to saving screen shots, log ons, etc etc etc.
As far as preventing them from using it. Require CTRL+ALT+DEL to log on and simply lock your computer when you leave as administrator. (C+A+D-click on lock computer) Only the admin can unlock it. |
