After going through the repair XP my CDRW will now play audio CDs. However, when I tried to get online and come here to thank you folks for the advice, I found that my internet connection was gone. So, I went to the wizard to set it up and can't. See the attached .jpg of the screen. It won't let me get to the window where I type in the ISP name and number. Should I do the repair again or is there something that I haven't got configured right? I've been fooling with this for about three hours and don't see anything else to do. HELP!
It doesn't do any good to clik the green button, it won't go away. And as you can see the other buttons aren't accessable.

When you say "name & number", you're implying a dial-up account right?
That being the case, see if there are any conflicts in the device manager with your modem.

Thanks force for the timely reply. I did a google search on creating internet connections and found the answer. It's here "This article was previously published under Q329441 " Microsoft/support. I had to edit the registry to get it fixed. My connection was there all along, I just couldn't get to it. I didn't actually have to set it up again. It happens when windows is reinstalled (read repaired). If I could have reinstalled the SP 1 I wouldn't have had to edit the registry. Anyway, it works now and now maybe I'll try to install my Audigy again and get it working. Thanks for the help,
Suitcase............................man just think, ,, a welder editing the Windows registry................... thats scary!!! |

Ok I've got the sound card in and everything is fine now. I don't know why there are unhappy folks with this card. I think the sound is fabulous. Anyway, please delete this thread if you card to.
